In the wake of the White nationalist neo fascist terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, it is crucial to repeat Trump’s comments from two days prior:
“It’s so terrible what’s happening. You know, the left plays a tougher game, it’s very funny. I actually think that the people on the right are tougher, but they don’t play it tougher. Okay? I can tell you, I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad. But the left plays it cuter and tougher.”
Make no mistake, Donald Trump is a fascist, expressing (barely) indirect support for terrorism.
If we lived in a functioning republic his comments would have been condemned by the political establishment and impeachment proceeding would have begun.
But instead of a functioning republic we have an Orwellian police state and a degenerate corporate dictatorship. After all, Nancy were capitalists get used to it Pelosi said last week that Trump just isn’t worth the trouble of impeachment and besides impeachment is divisive.
Versus Trump giving the greenlight to his loose affiliation of Brownshirts, Klansman, and assorted individuals with stockpiles of weapons, which one assumes Pelosi defines as a sublime example of unity.
Trump of course is also a symptom. As is Pelosi. As is the rest of the whore house on Capital Hill.
The Civil War didn’t end at Appomattox it just took a long nap. It woke up at Selma and then dozed again.
Now it’s awake – slouching towards our political and cultural Bethlehem.
We said some time ago that Trump was a professional demagogue and an amateur fascist. Then we realized that even if that were true, it is a distinction without a difference.
Donald Trump is a fascist. He is supported by other fascists and crypto fascists like Mitch McConnell who, as a reactionary southern aristocrat, akin to any number of anti-left German monarchists in the 1930s, views Trump as a goon, and a new money thug but, crucially, as a cudgel with which the left can be beaten into submission.
McConnell and his cadre would rather see a dictatorship than a left of center surge that breaths new life into the comatose body of the New Deal and the Great Society. And if they can’t create a functioning dictatorship then the next best thing will be a non-functioning circular firing squad that is just able to squeeze one more reactionary neo-fascist turd onto the Supreme Court, sealing the nation’s fate for decades.
But McConnell isn’t alone.
Mike Pense doesn’t see The Handmaid’s Tale as a dire warning but, as a how to manual.
The liberal elites who are whores with Wall Street as their pimp are, as liberals always are, ready to resist, to the last dead leftist or till the pile of corpses of innocent bystanders blots out the sun.
Perhaps someone could read Pelosi’s not worth it comment at the funeral of the dead in Christchurch.
Or just wait until the same thing happens in a Mosque or Church or Synagogue in America.
